Primary Subject Leaders: Developing highly effective monitoring and evaluation

Primary Subject Leaders: Developing highly effective monitoring and evaluation

This course has been designed to enable primary school leaders of core and foundation subjects to develop their monitoring and evaluation skills reflecting current inspection practice and the methodology of ‘deep dives’ with the focus on pupils’ acquisition of subject-specific knowledge as well as skills.

The course will provide delegates with ideas and resources that they can use to monitor and evaluate their subject, with time-efficient methods of providing an evidenced overview of strengths and areas for development.

This can then enable effective reporting to senior leaders and governors, as well as informing subject specific action planning. The course will also prepare subject leaders for the level of focus they can expect under the new inspection framework.

It is suitable for subject leaders of core and of non-core national curriculum subjects.
